Our Two Year Anniversary - August 13, 2006

Thanks for celebrating our Second Anniversary with us. August 2006 marked an important and EXCITING milestone. A core group of volunteers started an aggressive effort in Januray 2004 to establish a museum in Historic Downtown Taneytown. Today we can express graditude for the number of visitors we have had to the Museum to enjoy a variety of collections.

Anniversary Highights Included

• Daniel Hartzler, author of Carroll County Maryland Baseball, Men's Amateur and Semi-Pro Baseball, 1850-1999, was available for autographs.
• Michael Smith, Wild life Photographer was available for autographs as well.
• Light Refreshments were served by the Taneytown History Museum Committee.

The Taneytown Chamber of Commerce and the Taneytown History Museum Committee extend a hardy "Thank You!" to all our volunteers, donors and lenders of artifacts, without which this would be but a dream. Thank you one and all!
